The Observation Home and Children Home (Boys), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, is a reputed social welfare institution established in 1957 by eminent freedom fighters and social reformers Late Vijayendraji Kabra, Cooperative Leader and Former MP Late Balasaheb Pawar, Freedom Fighter and Founder Secretary Late S. K. alias Hirubhau Jagtap, Freedom Fighter Late Pundalikrao Ranjangaonkar, and Late Gurubakshsinghji Chhabda.
The institution is managed by the District Probation and After Care Association and is registered as a Public Charitable Trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. It functions in close coordination with the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Maharashtra, and is duly registered and approved under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, with official capacity to care for 50 children.

Supporters may create a permanent nutrition fund by depositing a fixed amount.
The annual interest generated from this amount is used every year for children’s meals.

- One-time Normal Meal: ₹21,000
- One-time Breakfast: ₹10,000
- One-time Milk Support: ₹7,000
This ensures long-term, sustainable meal support without affecting the principal amount.
Daily Meal Sponsorship Scheme
Donors may sponsor one-time daily meals for children as a direct and meaningful contribution.
Such support helps ensure timely nutrition and promotes the health and well-being of every child.

Our Impact

Future Vision and Plans of the Institution
The institution aims to expand its services through:
- To strengthen and expand the Observation Home and Children Home facilities.
- To construct a new, fully equipped building for children and for the functioning of the Child Welfare Committee and Juvenile Justice Board.
- To construct a modern building with all necessary facilities for a library, old age home, and hostel.
- To establish a vocational training center for children to enhance their employable skills.
- To set up an independent library to promote reading and learning habits.
- To establish an Old Age Home for the care and support of senior citizens.
- To start a Day Care Center to serve the needs of the community.
